Dedicated to Preparing Students

With a solid, cohesive and integrated curriculum, ACS is dedicated to preparing students at each developmental stage with the building blocks to excel in academics, careers and other roles in life. The lessons learned at ACS extend far beyond any classroom, activity or competition by equipping the students with the lifelong skills to think critically, discern truth, and influence responsibly.

Every facet of academics and community at ACS reflects this goal. Our faculty, staff and coaches model it, and the lives of our alumni continue this legacy. Students are challenged academically, spiritually, socially and physically so they are equipped to lead fruitful lives that glorify God. Students are taught that God is the author and creator of all truth, all knowledge and all wisdom. All aspects of a student’s life are provided to foster personal spiritual growth, compassionate human outreach and strong leadership development.

Our curriculum not only meets, but also exceeds state standards. Since we do not “teach to the test”, we are able to build great minds, minds that have a basis of knowlege, can solve problems, draw conclusions, and have solid great problem solving skills. In addition, our students know how to access knowledge from a variety of sources, share information, and work in teams. As a result, we are able to develop problem solvers and critical thinkers. Because students learn to work independently and in teams, in a variety of settings, they become productive followers and effective leaders.

What We Offer

PreK 4 – 2nd Grade

Early Elementary is the foundation of the ACS experience – the first step in equipping students with excellent academics, biblical knowlege and application, and leadership skills and experience.

3rd – 5th Grade

The goal of our upper elementary division is to provide a Christ-centered educational program dedicated to the glory of God.

6th – 8th Grade
(ACS NI)

Young teenagers are provided with teachers, coaches and opportunities that foster growth at every level, and equip the student to move from dependence to independence in a healthy environment.

9th – 12th Grade
(ACS NI)

All academics incorporate a Biblical worldview so that the student discovers the world as created by God as well as the principles he has put in place, all with purpose.

Google Classroom

Classroom is a free web-based platform that integrates your Google Apps for Education account with all your Google Apps services, including Google Docs, Gmail, and Google Calendar. It’s designed to save you time and paper. It is accessible from any computer with Internet access. Each child in K-12th grade is assigned an ACS username and password. This username and password will allow your child to log in to Google Classroom.

In Google Classroom, teachers can assign work to the students digitally, without paper. Students can do the assignment from school (or home, if they don’t quite finish something). They can submit it to their teacher online, and the teacher can pass it back to them with comments, edits, suggestions, and/or grades.

Classroom also creates Drive folders for each assignment and for each class to help keep everyone organized. Teachers can attach material from their Drive folders to assignments they create. Students can also attach files from their Drive folders to coursework they submit in Classroom. Any files submitted as part of an assignment are automatically stored in Google Drive.

Students can keep track of what’s due on the assignments page and on Calendar and begin working with just a click. Teachers can quickly see who has or hasn’t completed the work, and provide direct, real-time feedback and grades right in Classroom.

Parents can log in and see what assignments have been sent to your child, whether your child has completed them, and how they did. Almost everything we do at school will be shared online. Teachers can also put up reminders for the students of upcoming events and assignments.

FACTS

FACTS is the web-based system that ACS uses for communicating to parents about their child’s grades, behavior record or general school information (i.e., school closures, upcoming events, etc.). We are asking that every parent submit a usable email address where both the school and faculty may contact you. We encourage all parents to set up an account on FACTS. This allows you to access to weekly grades and any behavioral reports. It also allows you to access quarterly report cards.

To set up an account on FACTS you must first have an active email account at Acadiana Christian School.

REMIND

We use Remind Text Updates for parents to stay up to date on current events and emergency weather events. Parents will need to re-enroll for the upcoming school year. You will need to re-enroll for the upcoming school year. To join your child’s grade level, please text the appropriate code below (making sure you use the @ sign) to 81010.
