We Are ACS

For over 30 years, Acadiana Christian School has partnered with families in Acadiana. ACS has two school campuses, one in New Iberia and another in Abbeville. Both schools are located on individual campuses of Our Savior’s Church.  At ACS, we are designed to assist parents in the God-ordained training of their children and are proud to offer a Christ-centered, quality education. Through this partnership with OSC, we have an incredible opportunity to take the legacy of God’s grace, hope, and love that we have seen change lives for the better. God wants to use our school to share in the mission of OSC; to Reach People and Build Lives. As Acadiana Christian School, we will continue to see kids’ lives transformed because they know they are loved and have an incredible future.

The mission of Acadiana Christian School is to “Reach Students, Build Lives”.

Core Purpose ~

At ACS, all students will receive a solid Christian education, grow in their faith, develop leadership skills and cultivate their gifts and talents and build healthy relationships so they can contribute to their local church in order to make a difference in the communities where they live. 

Core Function ~

Acadiana Christian School is part of Our Savior’s Church Family of Ministries and specifically furthers the gospel within our community by assisting parents in the Christian education of their children in grades Prek4 -12th. 

Core Values ~

  1. We empower students with knowledge through Academics: The school’s role is to impart each student with the understanding that God is the source of all subjects in the curriculum. Accordingly, this principle of Kingdom Education deserves to be taught with the highest standards of academic excellence.
  2. We develop student’s faith through Spiritual Formation: we give students the opportunity to know God and form a personal relationship with Christ so that they learn to think like Him and live life from Biblical perspectives. Because we believe the Bible is the infallible, divine Word of God, we teach students to develop moral character based upon Biblical truth.
  3. We equip leaders through Creative Ministry Arts: Acadiana Christian School loves the local church! By the time a child leaves ACS, he or she will know a place where they can contribute within the weekend ministry of their local church. We believe that students will stay connected and grounded within a church when they can see first hand the value that they can bring to it. 
  4. We strengthen character through Athletics: Team and individual sports are a unique training ground for students of every academic capacity to develop teamwork, the humility of individual achievement, courage to face obstacles, and endurance to finish what they begin. We believe athletics adds to and furthers the character development of our students. It is a tool of discipleship.

We pride ourselves in raising up a generation of God fearing, Bible centered, world changers who are equipped to grow the local church.  At ACS, all students will receive a solid Christian education, build healthy relationships, and cultivate their gifts and talents  so they can contribute in their local church to make a difference in the communities where they live. 

Our filter for choosing curriculum, programs, activities, clubs, and events is our desire to produce disciples that will make a positive impact not only in their local church but also in their home, community, future workplace and ultimately the world for Christ.
